This is excellent news.

The documentation issue with Random numbers has been worrying me for a
while. Jens dropped the new (standard proposed) code into CVS a couple
of month ago. Apart from a couple of typos and problems with gcc-2.95.3
it looks good. However Jens seems to be off the air at the moment,
certianly a very minor patch (removing an additional ';') has not made
it into CVS.
What should we do if Jens can not fix the documentation in time? The old
documents with the new interface is VERY VERY confusing! A few crucuial
concepts have changed.

Not sure of the advantage of the over simply tagging the release
candidate in CVS!
All the best,
Michael
