Hi John, you are the maintainer of Boost.Math and very active on the list to fix bugs in many libraries. May I ask why you ignore your own bugs such as http://svn.boost.org/trac/boost/ticket/1454? Did you not recieved the bug report because both messages were (maybe) considered as SPAM or what is the reason to not apply a patch which fixes build failures and a typo (you included sinh.hpp where sin.hpp was required)? Many other patches from me are also still not applied (and are nearly 2 months old) but math is properly maintained, right? Jens

When working with "tread local storage" I find it sometimes very useful to get an access to instances of the class of all threads from single location. For example, when each thread stores some info in its own object, and you want to be able to collect overall data. So I think it would be helpful to add some form of iterator over the instances. Do you find such functionality valuable? Michael

VC++ issues in trac [ Looking for help ]

There are two issues having to do with VC 8 and VC 8 (and the random library) in the trac database. They are really the same thing, reported for two different versions of the compiler. Can someone with access to Visual Studio check these patches and let me know if they work as advertised? I can apply it/them, if needed. [tr1][functional] fails to compile under gcc 4.0.1 on OS X

[test] integration with debugger

[ptr_container] erase_if implementation

Hello, I was looking at the implementation for ptr_sequence_adapter's erase_if function and it seems a bit inefficient but I might be missing something, as is usually the case. Currently from what I can tell it loops through every item in the list and deletes it if the predicate returns true and then marks the pointers null. Afterwards it does a stable_partition on the whole list and erases all null pointers. stable_partition IIRC is a fairly expensive operation. Wouldn't it make more sense the wrap the predicate in a functor that intercepts the result of the predicate and deletes the pointer if the result is true before returning that result. As of today, I cannot use ptr_vector because it fails to compile on Visual Studio 2005.
