I have the following information:
1) I did some performance comparisons years ago. The results not
available on the web, but the test can still be downloaded here:
http://svn.osgeo.org/osgeo/foss4g/benchmarking/geometry_libraries/
(it is already old, I did not check it - you might get some compiler
errors in any library...)
2) Later a benchmark s done for a blog page. See the results here:

3) Performance is also measured (but not compared) in the robustness
tests on the trunk, there are several tests there. Most of them test
union/intersection/difference
